Bollywood star Salman Khan will be returning to host the upcoming season of the popular TV reality show Bigg Boss and the actor is reported to be paid a massive remuneration for hosting 14 weeks of the 15th season of the controversial show.
As per reports, Salman Khan will be paid a total of Rs 350 crore for hosting 14 weeks of Bigg Boss 15. The actor was apparently paid a sum of Rs 2.5 crore per episode from seasons 4 to 6, while his salary doubled to Rs 5 crore per episode for season 7. He later charged Rs 13 crore per week to host the 13th season of the reality show. Salman Khan is now set to be paid Rs 25 crore per week for the upcoming season, earning him a total of Rs 350 crore for hosting the entire season. Bigg Boss 15 is scheduled to begin in October this year.
Salman Khan had earlier talked about why he has returned to host Bigg Boss every season for the past several years. He reportedly said, “I like Bigg Boss. I get to learn a lot from the show. Every time I lose my cool, I realise I shouldn’t have and then I work hard to improve myself. I don’t want to lecture or be biased, but I want to correct them when any contestant goes wrong. You get to meet and interact with 15 different contestants. Be it TV stars, commoners or other celebrities. So it’s fun.”
